Buy Baklava Online in Mumbai
Most baklava sold in Mumbai is bought in, boxed, and left to sit on a shelf. Ours is made in our own Mumbai kitchen by the same team that manufactures kataifi dough for restaurants and bakeries across the city – so the pastry, the syrup and the nuts are handled by people who work with them every day. This page covers what we make, how it differs, and how to order it.
The baklava we make
Thirteen varieties, all produced in batches rather than held as long-life stock:
- Classic Turkish Baklava – the benchmark. Thin phyllo layers, chopped nuts, light syrup, cut into diamonds.
- Premium Pistachio – our highest nut ratio, for people who order baklava specifically for the pistachio.
- Pistachio Rolls and Cashew Rolls – phyllo rolled around a dense nut filling and cut into cylinders. The easiest shape to serve at a table.
- Cashew Pyramid – folded into a pyramid so the nut sits in the centre and the edges crisp.
- Havuc Dilimi – the slice-shaped Turkish style, thicker and considerably heavier on pistachio than standard baklava.
- Esh Al Bulbul (Bird’s Nest) – made from our own kataifi strands coiled into nests, with the nuts set in the middle.
- Chocolate Hazelnut Baklava – for people who find traditional baklava too sweet and want something closer to a chocolate pastry.
- Regular Baklava – the everyday mixed box, and the one most people start with.
Baklava cheesecakes
Three fusion items that sit between a dessert and a cake, built on a baklava base instead of a biscuit crumb:
These are the ones to order if you are feeding a mixed group where not everyone wants traditional Middle Eastern sweets.
What actually makes Turkish-style baklava different
Three things separate good baklava from the dry, oversweet version most people have had:
- Layer count. Proper baklava is built from many very thin phyllo sheets, each brushed separately. Fewer, thicker layers give you a pastry that is chewy instead of crisp.
- Syrup balance. The syrup should soak in and then stop. Too much and the pastry goes wet within hours; too little and it tastes like dry filo and nuts.
- Nut quality and ratio. This is where most cheap baklava is cut. Pistachio is expensive, so it gets padded out or replaced.
Baklava is also served cool, unlike kanafeh, which is served warm. If you are deciding between the two, we have written a fuller comparison in kunafa vs baklava.
Gifting boxes
Our Baklava Gifting Boxes and Gift Pack are assorted selections in presentation packaging – built for Eid, Diwali, weddings and corporate gifting rather than for everyday eating. If you need a larger quantity or a specific mix, tell us the numbers and we will put it together.
Delivery across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai
We deliver to South Mumbai, Central Mumbai, the western suburbs, the eastern suburbs, Thane and Navi Mumbai. Because everything is made fresh rather than pulled from stock, the delivery slot depends on the day’s production run – call with your area and quantity and we will tell you the earliest we can get it to you.
Ordering for a business
If you are a cafe, restaurant, hotel or dessert shop wanting baklava on your own menu, that is a wholesale conversation rather than a retail order. We already supply wholesale kataifi dough to kitchens across Mumbai, and finished dessert supply works the same way – agreed quantity, agreed schedule, quoted rate.
Frequently asked questions
Do you deliver baklava across Mumbai?
Yes. We deliver across Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, including the western and eastern suburbs. Call +91 89289 05912 with your area and we will confirm the next delivery slot for you.
Is your baklava made fresh or bought in?
Made fresh in our own Mumbai kitchen. We manufacture kataifi dough here for restaurants and bakeries across the city, and the same team makes our baklava in batches rather than holding long-life stock.
What is the difference between Turkish baklava and regular baklava?
Turkish-style baklava uses more phyllo layers, a lighter syrup and a higher proportion of nuts, so it stays crisp rather than turning wet. Havuc Dilimi, the slice-shaped style, is denser and heavier on pistachio.
Can I order baklava for a wedding, Eid or a corporate gift?
Yes. Our Baklava Gifting Boxes and Gift Pack are built for exactly that, and we can put together larger assortments for events. Tell us the quantity and the date and we will quote you.
How long does baklava keep?
Baklava holds far better than kanafeh because there is no cheese in it. Kept in a cool, dry place in a sealed box it stays good for several days. Do not refrigerate it, as that softens the pastry.
